About West Cork Silver

I grew up on Inishbeg Island, one of West Cork’s hidden gems, surrounded by the wild Atlantic Ocean, tidal inlets, and rugged coastline. The rhythms of the sea, the shifting sands, and the untamed beauty of the landscape have always been my inspiration. From the glistening waters of nearby Lough Hyne to the windswept headlands and sheltered coves, the West Cork coast is at the heart of West Cork Silver.

Now based in Dublin, Ireland, I create handmade sterling silver jewellery that carries this sense of place and strength. I trained at the School of Jewellery, and studied at National College of Art & Design, completing both sculpture and visual arts programmes. My creative process begins with sketches in pen and paper, often followed by wax carving or by directly working with silver. I work primarily with sustainably sourced sterling silver, sometimes enriched with touches of 9ct gold or carefully chosen gemstones such as Sapphires and Topaz.

Each piece is handmade, and hallmarked in Dublin Castle, bearing my maker’s mark, the Hibernia mark, and the fineness stamp — a guarantee of authenticity and Irish craftsmanship.

Over the years, I’ve exhibited at Sculpture in Context in the Botanic Gardens, shown work in National College of Art & Design exhibitions, and participated in craft fairs across Cork & Leinster. I’m also a proud member of the Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI).
